Reviews
Restaurant was about to close but stayed open to accommodate our party of 8. The entrees, main course, and desserts were all some of the best food we had on our trip to France. The waiter was very attentive and brought all the food out expeditiously without feeling being rushed. A great restaurant in the town of Chartres.
The worst meal of our entire 3 week holiday.
We ordered winter vegetables as a starter followed by onglet and vegetables. The waiter should have explained that onglet came with the same winter veg that we had ordered for starters but he didn't so we had the same winter vegetables twice. If the waiter had explained, we would have selected differently. Carbonade was not explained on the menu. The vegetables were very burnt. The onglet (little toe nail or tab was explained as rump steak) was tough, sinuous and nearly impossible to cut. We stayed because we were cold and the restaurant was warm, -2 C outside. The head waiter insisted on speaking english despite the fact we are fluent in french (just needed to translate onglet) having lived in the country for 20 years. Total pretentious disaster.
Wonderful finale to our trip to France. Really good food and attentive service. I recommend having an Armagnac as digestive!
Cozy restaurant, friendly staff. Prices and services correct. Be sure to book in advance. Not all itens in the menu were available (during my experience).
We did not like the food, cheap meat. Only one waiter for the whole restaurant. He tried his best, but too many tables for one table, so everything took a long time, and we had to get home to take our two five year olds to bed.
Very good food. When you're having dinner there, It seems like you're at your own home's dinning area.
This restaurant is amazing!! The food is fantastic and the wine so delicious. I bought a group of 14 there (with a reservation of course) and were treated like royalty. Don't miss this French food delight!
Service was a s bit ott, foodwas fine, bill a bit hi for us from down South but we knew that before going in
